KATHMANDU, September 01: The sixth national general convention of National Disabled Women Association on Tuesday elected a seven-member new working committee under the leadership of Tika Dahal.

Similarly, Sirjana Dahal, Rama Dhakal and Chandrakala Thombo have been elected to the posts of vice-chairperson, general secretary and treasurer, respectively.

Meanwhile, Chairperson of Nepal Federation of Blinds Nar Bahadur Limbu said disabled should themselves be cautious to take ahead their agendas.

At a programme organised here yesterday by the National Federation of Disabled on the occasion of 18th inception day of the Federation, he added  disabled people should be proactive to have their demands fulfilled rather than relying on the state for this.
