June 29: Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES) was selected by the UN – DESA office to prepare a Monograph document for the upcoming EXPERT GROUP MEETING ON ACCESSIBILITY to be held June 27- 30 in Washington, D.C. 

The meeting is hosted by the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs and the World Bank Disability Initiative. 

The Expert Group Meeting aims to promote greater awareness of environmental and ICT accessibility and advancement of persons with disabilities in the context of development, and to identify innovative and cost-effective approaches to accessibility both in the physical environment and in the fields of information and communications technologies as means to further inclusive processes of development.
