June 29: Focusing on Accessible Transportation elements in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), Global Alliance on Accessible Technologies and Environments (GAATES) convened a one day workshop at TRANSED in Hong Kong, the only international conference on accessible transportation.

While the Convention does not have one specific article that addresses accessible transportation, the need for accessible transportation is inherent in all elements of participation in society.
