EU Impact Project: Survey on ICT and Assistive Technology in Europe | Print |

March 05: The project partnership of the 'Improving Person Centred Technology (ImPaCT) in Europe' project is carrying out a research to map the current situation in the provision of Person Centered Technology (PCT) in Europe.

To this end, it is inviting interested persons to take its online survey at http://easpd.hft.org.uk/.The results of the survey will be analysed to evaluate the benefits of using PCT for people with disabilities.

ImPaCT is a transnational networking project in the field of ICT which is co-financed by the European Commission's Executive Agency for Education, Audiovisual and Culture in the framework of the Lifelong Learning Programme. The project started on 1 January 2009 and will last for 36 months.

ImPaCT aims to raise awareness about the benefits of using ICT and Assistive Technology to increase independence and quality of life of people with disabilities. It also aims to set up a Network bringing together people with disabilities, service providers, service commissioners, policy makers and manufacturers to exchange information and best practices. It especially aims to ensure that the needs of end users are known and taken into consideration when developing products and services.

The ImPaCT project website will feature a Knowledge Centre that will centralise all relevant information on Person Centred Technology, eInclusion and eAccessibility.
