SAN FERNANDO CITY, Philippines, Oct 23, 2012: Asia Foundation has initiated efforts encouraging Persons with disabilities  to exercise their right of suffrage especially this coming elections.

The Asia Foundation, a nonprofit, nongovernmental organization committed to the development of a peaceful, prosperous, just, and open Asia-Pacific region began to implement a three year “Disability Inclusive Election Program.”

Its aim is to ultimately address the needs of persons with disabilities and make Comelec increase their access to registration sites and polling places in order to reduce or remove constraints that PWD voters might face.
