DUBAI, Dec 12: The Dubai Early Childhood Development Centre (DECDC), a Community Development Authority (CDA) initiative, has organised its annual family gathering for children with disabilities and their parents.

"Strengthening communication with the families of children with disabilities enrolled at the centre is one of our important commitments, to extend continuous support," said Dr Bushra Al Mulla, director of DECDC.

"DECDC is a unique early intervention programme, and the first in the Middle East to offer community-based trans-disciplinary services to children with disability or at risk for developmental delays, as well as to their families."

Khalid Al Kamdah, director-general of CDA, said the gathering was aimed at enhancing communication and cooperation between CDA and DECDC officials and parents with the objective of evaluating and discussing the progress made by children.
