SHIMLA, INDIA, Nov 12: Disability certificates would be issued to eligible persons within three days of applying and any deliberate delay in doing so would attract action, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Sarveen Chowdhary today said.

Inaugurating a day-long workshop on empowerment of visually impaired persons with the help of technology, she said there were some 67,000 disabled persons in the state and the government was committed to their welfare.

She said 1,332 disabled persons had been provided jobs in different departments under a three per cent quota which included 439 visually impaired people.
